Purpose of the role:
- Providing data services to the company
- Supporting the execution of the data strategy by ensuring hiqh-quality, secure and actionable data assets
- This role enables business agility, operational resilience and market transparency through robust data stewardship, analytics and compliance
Responsibility:
- Business Acumen: Understanding how the business operates in the context of Financial Markets Act (FMA), with strong comprehension of key issues and risks in Financial Markets
- Collaboration: Works closely with stakeholders across the market to achieve the objectives of the Financial Markets Act and Central Securities Deposit
- Client/Stakeholder Commitment: Anticipates, meets and exceeds client and stakeholder expectations through building strong relationships
- Impact and Influence: Drive value creation for the market within the company and externally to build trust and commitment to achieving the objectives of FMA
- Drive Results: High sense of urgency, creates focus, takes accountability, is agile, resilient and excellent in execution to deliver business outcomes
- Lead change and innovation: Promotes the objectives of the FMA and delivers ongoing improvement and innovation in the financial markets

Minimum Qualifications and Experience & Knowledge
- Grade 12 and Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Actuarial Degree or related field
- Advanced knowledge of data management tools (eg SQL, Python and data visualization platforms)
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics, data management, or data governance role, preferably in financial services
- Experience with data quality management, metadata management and compliance monitoring
- Proven track record in delivering actionable data insights and supporting business strategy
Operational responsibility (Internal process)
- Implement and maintain data quality, stewardship and governance processes inline with Company’s Data Governance and Management Policy
- Develop, maintain and update data assets, ensuring accuracy, security and compliance
- Interpret business requirements and design data solutions that enable actionable insights for business units
People Management/Self-Management
- Share knowledge and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with peers and stakeholders
Financial controls and planning
- Identify opportunities to enhance cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency through data-driven solutions
- Manage data resources responsibly and contribute to risk identification and mitigation
